Peer Support Specialist - Substance Use

About your Role: 

The Peer Support Specialist (PPS), under the supervision of the Clinical Director or Regional Director, is responsible for providing opportunities for individuals receiving services to direct their own recovery process. The PPS is also responsible for facilitating the development of a sense of wellness and self-worth. 

CST CPSS - A Caring Alternative

Certified Peer Support positions available on our Community Support Team serving Buncombe and Henderson counties.

Be part of an experienced team of professionals including licensed therapist, substance use disorder specialist, and qualified professionals to provide services to individuals with severe mental health and substance use issues.

Requires at least one year of experience working with the population.

 

PSS/Outpatient Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides outpatient counseling

• Interviews clients to evaluate their immediate needs through relevant assessments and gather additional background information for development of a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment, Person Centered Plan and necessary referrals

• Conducts ongoing periodic evaluation and at exit of program

• Maintains up-to-date confidential records on clients and conforms to HIPPA standards • Ensures case documentation is up-to-date and reflective of services provided

Certified Peer Support Specialist/IPS Supportive Employment -Employment Peer Mentor

Employment Peer Mentor (EPM): EPMs offer hope and motivation by drawing from their lived experience and their own employment experiences to encourage other individuals to seek and maintain employment, wellness, and community integration. Employment Peer Mentors do not hold their own caseloads and do not function as an extension of ESPs or as case managers. They support any and all individuals enrolled in the service through the provision of wellness interventions, promoting self-determination, and helping individuals advocate for themselves.
