My name is Yvonnia Johnson. I currently work at RHA Health Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Wilmington, NC. I have been employed at RHA Health Services for six years as a Regional Care Coordinator.  I now work as the Regional Care Coordinator Team Lead, Peer Support Specialist, and PSS Trainer. In 2014, I graduated from Liberty University earning my Bachelors degree in Psychology Addiction and Recovery. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Social Work at North Central University. My Master's degree will be completed in the fall of 2023.

Welcome to the RHA Peer Support for the Deaf and the DeafBlind Training Program! We are thrilled that you have decided to pursue a Peer Support Specialist career. Upon completion of the 80-hour Peer Support Training course and the 20-hour Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) course, you will be eligible to receive your North Carolina certification and ready to start your new journey as a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist.
