Certification Track A

The NCCPSS Program offers two certification options: Track A and Track B. Applicants may choose only one certification track, either Track A or Track B, and must remain on that track throughout the certification process.Track A requires completing the Foundations of Peer Support Certification Training, a 60-hour course that includes Parts 1 and 2.

Foundations of Peer Support Part 1 (online - 20 hours): To enroll in Part 1 of the Foundations of Peer Support Course, check out detailed information here

Foundations of Peer Support Part 2 (in-person - 40 hours): Applicants must first complete the Foundations of Peer Support (Part I) Online before registering for Part 2. To enroll in an in-person training session, applicants should contact the trainer listed for that session. Once the training is completed, the participant will receive an evaluation from the NCCPSS Program to complete, and then their certificate. When reaching out to register, participants must email the trainer listed for a preferred training with the following:

• Name
• Email Address
• Date of Birth
• Certificate of Completion - Foundations of Peer Support (Part I)

Helpful Things to Note:

• At least 5 participants are required on the first day for the training to run. If fewer enroll, the trainer must cancel.
• Please notify the trainer at least 5 business days before the start date if you are unable to attend.
• Participants who have 3 unexcused no-shows will be restricted from registering for classes for one year.
