NCCPSS UPDATED PROGRAM FORMS
The NCCPSS Program Updated the following forms:
- Certification Application Forms
- Recertification Application Form (check the new reference letter requirements)
- Reference Form
The new forms will become effective July 1st for online and mail applications.
NCCPSS PROGRAM WEBSITE
The NCCPSS Program has updated and organized information on some web pages as following:
- New Certification and Recertification pages will include information about serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and recovery.
- The Complaint Page will provide information on the complaint process and how to submit a complaint to the Program or the Division of MH/DD/SUS.
NEW VETERAN PSS TRAINING
The NCCPSS Program will launch the Veteran Peer Support Training. Training hours will count towards additional hours for recertification or maintaining Military Designation.
Be on the lookout for a training flyer.
ONLINE APPLICATIONS
- Applicants are encouraged to submit their certification and recertification applications through the online portal.
- Applicants who submit an online application will receive a PSS pen with their certificate.
You can access the new applications under the certification or recertification pages.
CURRENT APPROVED COURSES
The NCCPSS Program is transitioning all Approved Courses to 50 hours effective September 1st. The 50 hours must include a minimum of 40 hours of face-to-face instructions and can be achieved as follows:
- 50 hours of Face-to-face Instruction
- 40 hours of face-to-face instruction and 10 hours of pre-work
- 40 hours of face-to-face instruction and 10 hours of homework
- 40 hours of face-to-face instruction and 10 hours of pre-work and homework
