Certification Track A

With the implementation of the standardized curriculum, the NCCPSS Program now provides two certification tracks: Track A and Track B. Both tracks will run simultaneously during the transition period and will remain available until all currently approved courses expire in December 2029. Once those courses expire, Track A will be the only pathway to certification.

Please note the following essential details: Participants may choose ONLY one track, either Certification Track A or Certification Track B, but not both. Applicants must follow the same track they initially started with during the certification process.

Foundation of Peer Support Certification Training - Total of 60 hours split into two different parts (Part I and Part II)

Foundations of Peer Support Part I (online - 20 hours): Applicants wanting to take the new NCCPSS Certification Foundation of Peer Support (Part I) must review detailed information here. Applicants must complete the ONLINE APPLICATION first to access and complete the course. Once approved Program Staff will provide instructions on how to complete.

Foundations of Peer Support Part II (in-person - 40 hours): Applicants wanting to take one of the below trainings MUST FIRST complete the Foundations of Peer Support (Part I) Online and then contact the trainer to register for Part II.

Registration for this course requires completion of the online Foundations of Peer Support (Part I) Online Training. Please email the trainer listed below to register and provide them with:

• Name
• Email Address
• Date of Birth
• Certificate of Completion - Foundations of Peer Support (Part I)

Once the course has been completed, the applicant will receive an evaluation from the NCCPSS Program to complete and receive their certificate.

Please understand and observe these training conditions:

• Training requires a minimum of 5 participants on the first day to proceed.
• If the minimum of 5 participants is not met, the trainer must cancel the class.
• Please notify the trainer at least 5 business days before the start date if you are unable to attend.
• Participants who accumulate 3 no-call/no-show occurrences with trainers will be considered to have engaged in repeated non-attendance and will be restricted from registering for classes for one year.
