Wayne Community College will email you an application after you contact them, or you may find one below to complete prior to contacting them.
Must be present all five days to earn a certificate of completion. Students may be absent no more than three hours from the 40 hour training.
- Advanced Assignment (Counts toward NEW 50 hours) Completed prior to class start. This will be emailed to you after registration or you may find it attached.
- The registration deadline is 1 week before the first day of class. This class usually fills up quickly and there is sometimes a waiting list.
- There is an assignment that is due 1 week before class starts, so be sure to register early to have time to effectively complete the Application & (AA) Advanced Assignment.
- There does need to be a minimum number of people in the class, and if we do not meet that number (per state requirements), we will have to cancel the class. If the class must be cancelled for this (or any other reason – like bad weather), you will be notified promptly by email as soon as the decision is made.
Accommodations
- All reasonable accommodation will be made to empower participants to complete the course. (For example, do you use a mobility device such as a walker or wheelchair? Do you need to sit closer to see the screen? Etc.) If accommodation is necessary, please inform the Certified Trainer of this course…Please list them on the training application.

To apply, please complete the attached OnTrack Wellness and Recovery Center application and a Mandatory Personal Reference Letter and email them to ontrackwellnessnc@gmail.com. Scholarships are available through your local Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (formerly known as Vocational Rehabilitation), based on your disability and income verification, as well as through NCWorks. Additionally, the NCCPSS Program Course/Training offers scholarships for potential Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS). Applicants must meet the following criteria to receive a PSS scholarship for a course/training. Reasonable accommodation will be provided upon request, as indicated in your application.
