Recertification occurs every two years, originating from the initial date awarded. Enter either the individual's complete or partial name into the search fields to confirm their status as a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist. A partial name entry will generate a list of options for your review. Search results will provide a table listing the individual's name, the initial award date, and their last recertification date.
Please note that the date displayed in the credential verification system includes the additional time allowed for processing late recertification. The actual certification expiration date is listed on your certificate. Please refer to your certificate to confirm your true expiration date, as it may be earlier than the date shown in the credential verification system.
Employers who are verifying the status of certification using this tool should also request a copy of the certificate from CPSS
