SHYAS CARES is looking to hire 5 Full-time male residential counselors to staff our new residential substance use recovery facility in Salisbury NC.

SHYAS CARES Residential Recovery Support Specialists (residential counselors) receive the following benefits:

- Free Clinical Supervision for NC Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board Credentialing (LCAS, CCS, CADC, CSAPC, CJAP) valued at $5,200.00 per year.
3 Full time position 8:30Am to 8:30pm two days on two days off
2 Full time positions 8:30pm to 8:30am two days on two days off
2 Part time positions to work varying shifts as floaters
Responsibilities
SHYAS CARES Residential Recovery Support Specialist (Residential Counselors) are responsible for:
- Provide residential supports to male sud recovery participants.
- Facilitate recovery skills group counseling and education sessions to assist clients in meeting therapeutic goals
- Conducting individual counseling to provide crises intervention, support & guidance, and address client behaviors and personal problems in the residential facility.
- Accompany participants to self-help groups in the community.
- Documenting participants' progress and responses to services.
Job Requirements:
- NC Peer Support Certification or NCASPPB Certification preferred
- Related work experience with a program-specific population (adult) in a residential treatment setting required
