Job Description
Work with the Clinical Department on client intervention plans and activities and strive to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide services based on the principles of wellness, self-management, personal recovery, coping skills, nature support, and self-advocacy skills. Ensuring that these services are delivered in accordance with peer support ethics and values.
- Maintain client confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support providing quality service to consumers.
- Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues by developing and implementing a Mental Health Wellness Recovery Action Plan.
- Help individuals with substance abuse issues by developing the use of crisis plans, advance directives, and providing prevention support.
- Provide prevention-oriented sessions.
- Implement and review treatment plans.
- Collaborate with additional treatment providers, placement agencies, and community resources.

Ensure timely completion of documentation of PSS services in accordance with Clinical Coverage Policy and other regulatory requirements set forth by LME.
Qualifications
- NC Certified Peer Support Specialist.
- Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields.
- Familiarity with community mental health resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Strong leadership qualities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with insurance and registration.
