A Peer Navigator has the support, access, credibility, competency, respect, and
valued role within the mental health and substance use disorder service delivery system to positively
impact the lives of individuals experiencing mental health and addiction challenges. They facilitate group
and individual peer support programs under the umbrella of the Hope Coalition. This position will work
closely with local hospitals, specifically Pardee, to support patients while in the hospital and upon discharge in their recovery
journey.
Responsibilities:
● Communicate the recovery messages.
● Help establish natural support systems.
● Promote recovery through shared experiences.
● Manage one’s own wellness.
● Support individuals in finding their voice.
● Provide guidance for system navigation.
● Document objectives, notes, and billing requirements.
● Promote engagement in treatment.
● Track expenditures and donations while performing their duties at Hope Coalition.
● Other duties as assigned.
