Research Community Care is seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist who is passionate about helping individuals overcome barriers related to mental health, housing stability, recovery, life skills, and community integration.

Responsibilities
The Peer Support Specialist will:
Provide community-based peer support services
Assist members with housing-related goals and independent living skills
Support individuals with recovery planning and wellness goals
Help members access community resources and benefits
Maintain timely, accurate documentation
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training
Maintain consistent communication with assigned members
Support crisis prevention through engagement and problem-solving
Qualifications
Required:
North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or certification eligible
High school diploma or GED
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Ability to work independently in the community
Strong documentation and communication skills
Passion for helping others succeed
Preferred:
Experience working in behavioral health, housing support, or community-based services
Knowledge of Medicaid documentation expectations
