Standards-Based Solutions, LLC is seeking Certified Peer Support Specialist in the following areas: 

  • Alamance County:  Burlington, Graham, Greensboro, Hillsborough, & Mebane (2 positions)
  • Durham County:     Durham (multiple positions)
  • Orange County:      Chapel Hill (multiple positions)
  • Person County:       Roxboro (2 positions)
  • Pitt County:             Greenville (multiple positions)

 

 

POSITION SUMMERY: 

  • The Peer Support Specialist facilitates specific social, behavioral, and emotional interventions to assist the client with achieving his/her maximum potential. 
  • Primary responsibilities include providing assessment and intensive social and behavioral interventions to clients. 
  • Documents client interactions that are consistent with the client service plan. 
  • Peer Support Specialist coordinates/reports significant information to Client Services Director. 
  • Peer Support Specialist must be capable of emotionally assisting clients, dealing with emergencies, and working with clients in their familiar environment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in human service field (social work, counseling psychology) at minimum, a High School Diploma
  • Age 21 or older
  • Prefer six months experience as a Mental Health Technician, or experience working in the human service field
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Current Automobile Insurance

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Monthly supervision attendance (1 - 3 hours)
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist Certificate (not expired)
