Status message

Effective April 1, the NCCPSS Program will transition to an ONLINE-ONLY APPLICATION PROCESS. Certification and recertification applications must be submitted using the ONLINE portal. Mailed (paper) applications will not be accepted. We encourage all applicants to create an account first and access the online application now to help avoid application processing delays. Central Community Services is recruiting for the new position of CPSS-Jail Diversion for Granville County. This post provides support, outreach, skilled interventions, care coordination and re-entry services for persons with mental illness and/or substance use disorders with non-violent charges or at risk for incarceration. Services are provided within the community, private homes, jail, and court. 

The ideal candidate has:

  • NC-PSS Certification
  • Lived experience with court processes
  • Minimum of high school diploma (degree preferred)
  • At least one year of related work experience
  • At least 3 years sobriety
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to best practices and ethical care
  • Experience with documentation
  • Flexibility and accountability

    Hourly wage is $20-$28 based on education and experience. Part-time opportunity with full-time potential.
