Job Opening: Certified Peer Support Specialist Trainer
Location: Bob’s Way Recovery Center – Henderson, NC
Position Type: Contract / Part-Time

Bob’s Way Recovery Center is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) Trainer to lead regular, monthly peer support training classes as we expand access to peer-led recovery in Vance County.

We are building a vibrant, community-based recovery hub where lived experience is a qualification—and your expertise can help shape the future of recovery in our region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate monthly Peer Support Specialist training classes at Bob’s Way Recovery Center
• Develop and deliver curriculum in alignment with NC Certified Peer Support guidelines
• Create an inclusive, empowering learning environment for adults with lived experience
• Assist with outreach and participant recruitment as needed
• Provide certificates and support trainees in the certification process

Ideal Candidate:

• Certified Peer Support Specialist Trainer (required)
• Experience facilitating peer support or recovery-based training programs
• Skilled in adult education, group facilitation, and trauma-informed approaches
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Passionate about expanding peer-led recovery services in rural communities

Compensation:

This is a paid contract position. Rate will be based on experience and class size, with the potential to grow into a larger training program supported by grants and partnerships.
