Direct Support Specialist

Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and skilled Direct Support Specialist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in behavioral health, recovery, or human services settings. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and assistance to an individual receiving 1915(i) services.
• Collaborate with clinical and support teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Support Member engagement and progress toward recovery or developmental goals.
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment at all times.
• Accurately document Member interactions and follow agency protocols.
• Submit Progress Notes within 48 hours of interaction with the Member. 

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Certified in CPR
• Certified in First Aid
• WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) certified
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a Peer Support Specialist (not required but considered a plus)
• Prior experience in behavioral health or social services

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and as part of a team
• Commitment to ethical, person-centered service delivery
