FULL-TIME PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST (SALARIED)

Research Community Care is currently hiring a full-time Peer Support Specialist to work throughout Wake County and surrounding areas. We are looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, professional, and serious about helping others navigate recovery and life challenges.
This is a salaried, full-time position for someone who wants consistency, stability, and the opportunity to grow with an agency that is rebuilding and strengthening its clinical and peer support services.
The Peer Support Specialist will work directly with adults in the community who may need support with mental health recovery, housing stability, independent living, community resources, appointments, goal setting, and overall wellness.
Job Duties Include:
Meeting with members in the community
Helping individuals work toward treatment and recovery goals
Assisting with housing-related needs, life skills, and community resources
Supporting members with self-advocacy and problem solving
Encouraging engagement in services and healthy coping skills
Completing documentation in a timely and professional manner
Participating in supervision and staff meetings
Qualifications:
North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) preferred or certification eligible
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Wake County
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Experience in behavioral health or community work is a plus
