Job Overview:
Imperial Health Services LLC is currently seeking qualified Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) throughout North Carolina to join our growing behavioral health team as independent contractors. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals on their recovery journey within their communities.
The ideal candidate must hold an active North Carolina CPSS certification and be passionate about empowering individuals to achieve personal recovery, wellness, and independence goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide community-based peer support services to assigned members.
- Assist individuals in identifying strengths, goals, and recovery supports.
- Encourage self-advocacy, independence, and personal growth.
- Teach and model recovery-oriented coping skills and wellness strategies.
- Assist with accessing community resources, benefits, and support systems.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state, Medicaid, and agency requirements.
- Participate in supervision and required trainings.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Active North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) Certification.
- Certification must be in good standing with the State of North Carolina.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation and automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Preferred:
- Previous experience providing peer support services.
- Experience working with behavioral health, substance use, or recovery populations.
- Knowledge of Medicaid-funded behavioral health services.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Contractors are responsible for: - Managing their own tax obligations.

- Completing documentation within agency-required timeframes.
