Position Overview:
We are seeking a North Carolina-certified Qualified Professional who is also a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS). In this unique dual role, you will deliver clinical interventions while using your lived experience to inspire hope, build trust, and model recovery. You will be a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, providing community-based support that aligns with NC DHHS and Medicaid standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Clinical & Person-Centered Planning: Conduct intake assessments, develop Person-Centered Plans (PCP), and deliver therapeutic interventions.
· Peer Support & Mentorship-Draw on your lived recovery experience to support individuals in developing self-advocacy, coping skills, and community connections.
· Documentation & Compliance-Document services in compliance with Medicaid and DHHS requirements, ensuring timely and accurate charting.
· Collaboration-Work with families, community partners, and treatment teams to coordinate holistic care.
· Crisis Intervention-Assist with de-escalation and safety planning as needed.
Qualifications:
Qualified Professional (QP):
· Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with 2+ years of full-time experience with the population served; OR
· Master’s degree in a human services field with 1+ year of full-time experience with the population served.
· Must meet NC DHHS requirements for Qualified Professionals.
Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS):
· Must hold a current North Carolina CPSS certification in good standing.
· Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery.
Additional Requirements:
· Valid NC driver’s license and reliable transportation .
· Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
