Qualified Professional (QP) – Job Responsibilities
The **Qualified Professional (QP)** is responsible for providing oversight, supervision, and support to Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) to ensure that services are delivered appropriately, professionally, and in accordance with AH Bacon Recovery Resources policies and applicable requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
* Provide direct **supervision and oversight of Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS)**.
* Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to CPSS staff regarding client services and job responsibilities.
* Conduct regular individual supervision and staff meetings with CPSS team members.
* Review CPSS documentation, progress notes, service records, and timesheets for **accuracy, completeness, and timely submission**.
* Ensure that services provided by CPSS staff are consistent with each client's goals and approved service plan.
* Monitor staff performance and address concerns related to documentation, attendance, professionalism, service delivery, and compliance.
* Ensure CPSS staff understand and follow agency policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, professional boundaries, and ethical standards.
* Monitor service delivery to help ensure services are **person-centered, recovery-focused, and goal-oriented**.
* Assist CPSS staff with identifying appropriate community resources and coordinating services for clients.
* Provide support and direction to staff when client concerns, service issues, or challenging situations arise.
* Communicate with management regarding staff performance, client concerns, service-delivery issues, and other matters requiring additional attention.
* Assist with orientation, training, and development of new and existing CPSS staff.
* Monitor required CPSS credentials, training, and other employment documentation to help ensure they remain current.
* Participate in quality-assurance activities and help identify areas where services or documentation need improvement.
* Assist with corrective-action and performance-improvement processes when necessary.
* Collaborate with clients, staff, families, providers, and community partners when appropriate to support continuity of services.
* Maintain accurate supervisory and program records as required.
* Protect client confidentiality and ensure compliance with **HIPAA and other applicable confidentiality requirements**.
* Follow applicable federal and state regulations, payer requirements, and AH Bacon Recovery Resources policies and procedures.
* Promote a professional, respectful, supportive, and accountable work environment for CPSS staff.
* Perform other duties related to program oversight and service quality as assigned by management.
