Location: Caldwell County, NC (some travel to surrounding counties required)
Salary: $47,000 - $52,000 annually, based on experience
Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends. No on-call responsibilities.
Position Summary
The Clinical Peer Support Supervisor provides direct peer support services while overseeing and supporting a team of Certified Peer Support Specialists. This role ensures quality service delivery, compliance with program requirements, and positive outcomes for individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use services.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a caseload and provide direct peer support services.
Lead or co-facilitate peer support groups.
Develop and update Person-Centered Plans (PCPs), WRAP plans, and related service documentation.
Complete Service Authorization Requests and ensure authorizations are current.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate quality care.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.
Supervise CPSS staff, including scheduling, coaching, documentation review, and performance support.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development.
Address employee concerns and support problem resolution.
Help individuals build recovery skills, access community resources, and achieve personal goals.
Required Qualifications
Current North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification.
Must meet North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) requirements.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
Working knowledge of North Carolina behavioral health and human services systems.
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Licensed or credentialed human services professional, RN with four years of MH/DD/SUD experience, CCAS, or CCS; or
Master's degree in a human services field with one year of post-graduate MH/DD/SUD experience; or
Bachelor's degree in a human services field with two years of MH/DD/SUD experience; or
Bachelor's degree in a non-human services field with four years of MH/DD/SUD experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous supervisory experience.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 15 pounds regularly.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed.
Perform CPR from floor level when required.
Meet vision and communication requirements necessary for the position.
