We are seeking compassionate, motivated individuals with lived experience in recovery, mental health, trauma, or re-entry to join our team as Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS).
This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals as they build positive change, develop coping skills, and rebuild their lives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
- Active CPSS Certification
- Reliable, insured transportation
- Ability to complete daily documentation
- Lived experience—substance use, mental health, trauma, incarceration, or recovery journey
- Clear driver history check. People with justice involved history strongly encouraged to apply.
- Professional communication and healthy boundaries
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide one-on-one peer support
- Lead and support peer groups (recovery, life skills, coping skills, etc.)
- Assist with resume building, budgeting, employment support
- Support participants with skill practice, community outings, and appointments
- Provide transportation for approved, recovery-related activities
- Link individuals to treatment and community resources
- Complete notes within 24 hours
