We are seeking compassionate, motivated individuals with lived experience in recovery, mental health, trauma, or re-entry to join our team as Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS).

This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals as they build positive change, develop coping skills, and rebuild their lives.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
  • Active CPSS Certification
  • Reliable, insured transportation
  • Ability to complete daily documentation
  • Lived experience—substance use, mental health, trauma, incarceration, or recovery journey
  • Clear driver history check. People with justice involved history strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Professional communication and healthy boundaries

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide one-on-one peer support
  • Lead and support peer groups (recovery, life skills, coping skills, etc.)
  • Assist with resume building, budgeting, employment support
  • Support participants with skill practice, community outings, and appointments
  • Provide transportation for approved, recovery-related activities
  • Link individuals to treatment and community resources
  • Complete notes within 24 hours
  • Model recovery, self-care, and positive communication
