We are seeking Full‑Time and Part‑Time Certified Peer Support Specialists to join our expanding team. This is a field‑based position serving communities across Eastern and Western North Carolina, with current opportunities in:
• Forsyth County
• Guilford County
• Surry County
As a Peer Support Specialist at King Prestige Services, you will use your personal lived recovery experience to support Members on an individual basis. Your role centers on advocacy, direct peer support, and close collaboration with the clinical team to enhance client outcomes and promote long‑term recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Peer Support
• Provide individualized peer support to Members.
• Share personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and encouragement.
• Assist Members in developing personalized recovery goals tailored to their needs.
• Identify and connect Members with community resources, including housing, employment, education, and healthcare.
• Provide information and referrals to appropriate services.
• Support Members in increasing community involvement and engagement.
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain timely, accurate, and strengths‑based Progress Notes.
• Communicate significant changes in Member status to the Qualified Professional (QP) and clinical team.
Certification, Training & Professional Development
• Hold current North Carolina Peer Support Specialist Certification.
• Complete required peer support training programs.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain certification and enhance skills.
• Stay informed about best practices in peer support, recovery, and trauma‑informed care.
Skills & Abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a non‑judgmental approach.
• Use lived experience appropriately to support Member recovery.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
Additional Requirements
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work within designated counties in Eastern or Western North Carolina.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must be computer literate.
