Position Overview:
This person will serve as a Certified Peer Support Specialist. Peer support may be provided for adults, parents, and youth, most of whom have been impacted by a mental health and/or substance use concern.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, recruit, and deliver individual peer support services both onsite and in community locations identified.
- Assist with the delivery of evidence-based peer support groups.
- Work in partnership with the Wraparound Services team and Clinical team to address client needs and build peer support service offerings based on client demand
- Attend project-specific team meetings to ensure coordination of care
- Attend agencywide staff meetings
Through these activities, the staff member is required to:
- Maintain confidentiality of records and comply with all policies and procedures related to client care, including HIPAA and agency-specific regulations
- Coordinate and consult with other team members to keep informed of issues and progress
- Ensure timely completion of all required paperwork to document peer contact
- Attend agency team meetings, grant-related meetings, and supervision
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in the state of North Carolina.
- Team player who is comfortable working in an off-site location and able to build rapport with multiple partners

- Professional and comfortable when interacting with other professionals
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams,
- Evidence of coordination of complex cases,
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of community and social services agencies and a comfort level with outreaching to community partners.
- Must have current and active professional liability insurance at all times (if possible, including the Kellin Foundation as an additional insured – we can assist you with that process).
Supervisory: This position is supervised by the Peer Support Services Team Lead and Wraparound Services Director
Position Structure: Part-time and Full-time available
Travel: Local travel for project team meetings (reimbursed if outside of Greensboro) and some services may be provided offsite
