Scholarships & Financial Assistance

Financial assistance may be available through NC Works WIOA (income-based) and Vocational Rehabilitation Services. When applying, provide:

Training Overview

A Path to Recovery: Certified Peer Support Training is a 50-hour North Carolina-approved training for Peer Support Specialists. The training covers peer support principles, recovery and wellness, communication, de-escalation, crisis intervention, and self-care through interactive and practical learning.

Refund & Cancellation Policy – Peer Support Specialist Training

To request a cancellation, refund, or change to a previously purchased training date, please email PeerRecoveryTools@gmail.com. All requests must be submitted in writing.

Participant-Initiated Cancellations

  • 100% refund will be issued if cancellation is requested at least one (1) week prior to the training start date.
  • 75% refund will be issued if cancellation is requested at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the training start date.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 72 hours before the training start date, for no-shows, or for partial attendance.

Training-Initiated Cancellations

A 100% refund will be issued if:

  1. The training is canceled due to low enrollment.
  2. The training is canceled due to inclement weather.
  3. The training provider cancels the class for any unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of a training-initiated cancellation, participants will be contacted by phone or verified email and will be given the option to:

  • Receive a full refund, or
  • Transfer registration to a future training date.

Additional Information

  • Refunds are processed to the original form of payment.
  • Requests must be received before the training begins to be considered.
  • At the discretion of the training provider, resolutions may include a refund, transfer to another training, or credit toward a future course.
