The Human Services Practitioner position serves as an Employment Peer Mentor, working with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment Team. IPS-Supported Employment is an evidence-based service model aimed at assisting individuals with SPMI/SMI to successfully gain and maintain competitive employment in market jobs. The Employment Peer Mentor role works directly with individuals receiving IPS services, using both formal and informal methods of peer support including Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) and Vocational Illness Management and Recovery (IMR/WMR). This position may also fulfill some Employment Specialist responsibilities including job development, job coaching, skills training, assessment, counseling and case management.
* Must be a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS).
* Must have a valid NC Driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
* Driving a state vehicle may be required.
* Must have good written and oral communication skills.
* Must work well within a team.
