Employment Peer Mentor (EPM): EPMs offer hope and motivation by drawing from their lived experience and their own employment experiences to encourage other individuals to seek and maintain employment, wellness, and community integration. Employment Peer Mentors do not hold their own caseloads and do not function as an extension of ESPs or as case managers. They support any and all individuals enrolled in the service through the provision of wellness interventions, promoting self-determination, and helping individuals advocate for themselves.

Certified Peer Support Specialist

Peer Support services are structured and scheduled activities for adults aged 18 and older with MH/SA disability. Peer Supports are provided by Peer Support Staff. Peer Support service is an individualized, recovery focused approach that promotes the development of wellness self-management, personal recovery, natural supports, coping skills, and self-advocacy skills and development of independent living skills for housing, employment and full community inclusion.

• Ability to collaborate with the program QP to assess their own strengths and areas of growth and develop a supervision plan.

• Ability to collaborate with an individual to explore and identify barriers to accessing community resources or treatment providers.

• Ability to model and mentor recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal actions to encourage wellness and resilience for individuals served and to promote a recovery environment in the community, residence, and workplace.
