Status message

Effective April 1, the NCCPSS Program will transition to an ONLINE-ONLY APPLICATION PROCESS. Certification and recertification applications must be submitted using the ONLINE portal. Mailed (paper) applications will not be accepted. We encourage all applicants to create an account first and access the online application now to help avoid application processing delays. Application processing timeline is currently 5-7 business days upon completion. Please email us at nccpssprogram@unc.edu if you have any questions. Thank you!

V.O.I.C.E. Therapeutic Solutions has an immediate need for certified peer support specialists to provide services in:

  • Durham
  • Wake

Peer Support Services are a community-based service for adults age eighteen and older who have a mental illness or a substance use disorder.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide peer support services to peers in the community.
  • Provide wellness education via teaching problem solving, and life skills.
  • Provide Whole Person Care
  • Complete service notes
  • Must be available 40 hours per week

Education, Experience and Certifications

· Successful completion of Certified Peer Support Training Program.

· Previous experience working in the Mental Health field highly preferred.
