PSS/Outpatient Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides outpatient counseling

• Interviews clients to evaluate their immediate needs through relevant assessments and gather additional background information for development of a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment, Person Centered Plan and necessary referrals

• Conducts ongoing periodic evaluation and at exit of program

• Maintains up-to-date confidential records on clients and conforms to HIPPA standards • Ensures case documentation is up-to-date and reflective of services provided

• Handles client concerns with regards to counseling issues • Attends bi-weekly case staffing with supervisor

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

 Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree- Counseling or a related human services field

• Must be licensed by the state (LPC, LPCA, LCSW, LCSWA) • Must possess a NC Driver’s License

• Must Pass drug screen and background check Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Previous counseling experience working with adults and children preferred

• Strong oral communication skills required to maintain quality documentation

• Ability to motivate and support clients in a non-judgmental manner

• Ability to prioritize all aspects of the job

• Strong problem-solving skills required and must be a commonsense thinker who can be a quick decision maker when necessary

• Must display professional and leadership qualities

• Additional compensation provided for bi-lingual (Spanish) speaking individual Hours/Compensation:

• This is a part time position (20 hours +/week) set your own hours and compensation of $20-$22 an hour

Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist or qualified to become one.
