Description
Description

Must have 18 months recovery of Mental Health or Substance Use Disorder, High school diploma and 18 years old.

A Path to Recovery Peer Support Specialist Training is the peer support curriculum adapted by Camino Community Development Corp, Inc. The title affirms that recovery is achievable, but there is no right or wrong way to choose recovery; everyone travels on a different journey to the same end result.

This curriculum is based on the original Cardinal Innovations Healthcare curriculum written by Wilma Townsend and the International Association of Peer Supporters Manual written by Steve Harrington. The manual was significantly revised and edited by Heather Aguilera. Ronald Clark, David Villanueva, and Sharisse Johnson contributed to the manual.

This a weekend training that consists of pre-homework and 10 hours of homework between classes.

Facilitated by Ms. Pamela Goodine, NCCPSS, Advanced Level WRAP Facilitator
