Parker, Keller

Keller Parker is a Native New Yorker, mother, Substance Abuse Counselor (non-certified) and Certified Peer Support Specialist dedicated to helping others find their way out of addiction, depression, and personal trauma. In 1989 she moved to North Carolina after years of traveling the globe, hoping to settle down and raise her children in a stable environment, and create positive change on a local level. Keller celebrated 30 years of recovery, January 2020. Since then, she has worked in the Human Services and outreach fields in several capacities she deems equally rewarding: Primary Counselor at several Inpatient Programs, Woman’s Counselor, Teen Court
Coordinator, Counselor w/Incarcerated Individuals and their Families, etc. Keller attributes her broad personal and professional experiences as having contributed greatly to her huge sense of compassion, empathy and the ability to connect with a range of clients and peers. A NCPSS since 2017, her goal has been “To encourage, support, and inspire others to achieve their personal recovery goals.” As a Peer Trainer, Keller looks forward to empowering those seeking PSS certification to use their recovery stories as a tool to critically impact others, as well as advocating for change in the ways Mental Health and Substance Abuse are viewed in the world.
