Dear North Carolina Peer Support Specialist community,

Unfortunately due to the State of Emergency that is in place in North Carolina, the impending UNC campus closure, and to the rapidly evolving restrictions being expanded related to COVID-19, we are forced to temporarily suspend the processing of Peer Support Specialist Certification and Recertification applications at this time.  We expect this temporary suspension to last a minimum through May 8, but we will have to continually re-evaluate that date.

Please know that we will work with anyone whose current certification is scheduled to lapse during this time to ensure that your certification is extended in the meantime and we will be working in the coming weeks to provide alternative (electronic) application submission portals.

If you are not currently certified but are considering applying to become certified, please check back on this website weekly for any updates.

If you are currently certified, we will send updates to the email address that we have on file.
