Leadership:

  • Supervise Resident Advisor(s), Driver(s), and other assigned staff.
  • Develop and implement a professional development program for staff.
  • Establish objective performance measurements and ensure accountability among team members.
  • Recruit, hire, and train staff members in the department.

Center for Men Operations:

  • Responsible for conducting initial needs assessments for clients and crafting individualized case plans, ensuring a welcoming orientation into the shelter and comprehensive support throughout their stay.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate client training programs and services.
  • Ensure safety and maintenance of facilities.
  • Maintain client files and ensure compliance with grants.
  • Schedule and monitor outside service providers and volunteers while cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with community partners to ensure effective collaboration and support for our mission.
  • Ensure residents adhere to shelter policies and rules while also providing support and guidance to help them remain sheltered.
  • Possess the capability to prioritize "Housing First" principles, emphasizing immediate access to permanent housing as a primary strategy for addressing homelessness.
  • Complete necessary logs, reports, and statistical data collection.
  • Inform the Executive Director promptly about critical incidents and concerns for timely resolution.

General Administration:

  • Assist with grant reporting.
  • Represent the organization in community events and committees.
  • Advocate for the unsheltered population by actively engaging and educating the community, serving as their strongest ally and advocate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • NC Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Community Health Worker (CHM) certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Mental health and/or substance use clinical licensure or certification.
  • Lived experience in homelessness highly valued.
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred.
  • BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) encouraged to apply.
