Full job description

TITLE:

Group Lead

PURPOSE:

To facilitate discussion during weekly psycho-educational groups for peers seeking recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorders

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare and present on a relevant topic each week in accordance with the established curriculum.

2. Facilitate discussion and encourage mutual self-help exchanges of suggestions, experiences & support.

Qualified Professional/CPSS

Provides support to individuals with Mental Health (MH) or Substance Abuse Issues at home and in community settings to include Duplin, Sampson, Onslow, Wayne and Pender counties. Additional responsibilities are administrative tasks to include client intake, scheduling appts and linking to community resources. These interventions are strength-based and focused on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and achievement of the highest level of functioning in the community. Provides supervision to CPSS staff.
