Job Opening: Certified Peer Support Specialist Trainer
Location: Bob’s Way Recovery Center – Henderson, NC
Position Type: Contract / Part-Time
Bob’s Way Recovery Center is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) Trainer to lead regular, monthly peer support training classes as we expand access to peer-led recovery in Vance County.
START pairs a child welfare worker and a family mentor to support families identified during a child protection assessment or investigation as needing ongoing services due to parental substance use. When implemented with fidelity, START has shown improved outcomes for children and families.
In 2022, the Durham Community Safety Department (DCSD) launched four 911 crisis response programs—collectively known as HEART (Holistic Empathetic Assistance Response Teams)—to meet the needs of people in crisis with compassionate care and behavioral health expertise.
