Apollo Community Wellness Center is seeking a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) to join our growing recovery and wellness team in Raleigh. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will use your personal experience in recovery to support, guide, and empower individuals working toward mental health and substance use recovery goals.

Duke Psychiatric Advanced Clinical-Translational idea Lab (PACTiLab). 

We are currently conducting a research study focused on an investigational treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) using repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS).

We are seeking part-time certified Peer Support Specialists who are already engaged in community-based recovery work.

Certified Peer Support Specialist / CPSS

Job Description: Provides highly individualized services in the community and promotes individual self-determination and decision-making to individuals with Mental Health or Substance Abuse issues.  Certified Peer Support Specialists also provide essential expertise and consultation to the entire team to promote a culture in which each individual’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation , and community self-help activities.

Certified Peer Support Specialist

 • Meeting with clients to provide advice and support in accordance with treatment plan • Supporting/assisting consumers in daily decision making and resolution of minor problems

• Assisting clients by finding resources, advising the consumer of processes, and encouraging follow through with proposed resolutions, locating social activities, or provide other assistance as needed
