Qualified Professional Peer Support Team Lead - Wake County

As our full-time Qualified Professional Team Lead for our Wake County Peer Support program, your primary role is to ensure that peer services run smoothly, clients receive optimal care, and that services provided are consistent with service definition in conjunction with the Peer Support Specialist Program Supervisor.

We provide mileage reimbursement & offer a Peer Support Scholarship Program to cover certification costs!

Must be QP status to qualify! 

 

Pay

Starting rate for this role is ~$43,680 per year.

Schedule

Flexible, 40 hours per week.

Availability to meet in person as early as 8am and as late as 5pm, as needed based on staff and client needs.

Responsible for leading 1 team meeting per week.

Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Job Responsibilities of a Peer Support Qualified Professional Team Lead

  • Provide administrative supervision and guidance to the Peer Support team by tracking and monitoring documentation for compliance
  • Provide interventions consistent with Peer Support service definition
  • Assist with service specific orientation of new staff
  • Assist with development of protocols, policies and procedures as it relates to the development of the Peer Support Program
  • Establish relationships with a comprehensive, targeted listed of providers and other relevant community organizations

Qualifications of a Peer Support Qualified Professional Team Lead

  • Qualified Professional status
  • Current NC Peer Support Specialist Certification (SouthLight can provide scholarship to cover the cost of Peer training class if not already certified)
  • Completion of 3 hours UNC Peer Support Supervisor Training (will be provided upon hire)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to supervise, train, motivate and evaluate employees
  • Ability to set firm boundaries with staff and clients and manage crisis
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-starter, independent worker, ability to overcome obstacles independently
