Standards-Based Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Resources seeks Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) to assist clients with Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Employment, and Community Reintegration.
Specific tasks include but are not limited to providing recovery-based support, self-help strategies, housing resource referrals, social skill-building, and community participation.

This position is based at the UNC Horizons office in Carrboro. The primary purpose of this position is to provide group treatment services to the women in the SACOT and SAIOP programs in Carrboro, and to provide case management and individual support services in the Perinatal Program and outpatient programs. We are looking for someone who enjoys leading treatment groups, and would love to find someone who is a PSS. The Human Services Practitioner position serves as an Employment Peer Mentor, working with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment Team. IPS-Supported Employment is an evidence-based service model aimed at assisting individuals with SPMI/SMI to successfully gain and maintain competitive employment in market jobs. The Employment Peer Mentor role works directly with individuals receiving IPS services, using both formal and informal methods of peer support including Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) and Vocational Illness Management and Recovery (IMR/WMR).
