Purpose: The peer support specialist must be certified as a NC peer support specialist (NC CPSS). CPSS is responsible for ensuring recovery focused service that allows individuals the opportunity to learn to manage their own recovery and advocacy process through interventions of Peer Support staff that enhance the development of natural supports, as well as coping and self management skills.

Want to live rent free? We are looking for a NC CPSS to live in our women’s recovery home as the “house manager.” The person chosen will have their own bedroom. The program will be all peer run with oversight by the Executive Director of Maxwell’s Place. There is no pay attached to this position other than free room and board. The person chosen will be able to work during the day but would be expected to be home in the evening to conduct groups etc. Prefer someone with peer-to-peer housing experience but willing to train the right person. Duties to be discussed during the interview.
