Cottage Health Care Services has immediate openings for Peer Support Specialist to work in the Raleigh Area. These specialists support adults with struggles pertaining to mental health, psychological trauma or substance use. The Peer Support Specialist works in the community with adult MH/SA clients to teach, model and support the skills and coping mechanisms for ongoing treatment and recovery.
Applicants must be:
NC Certified Peer Specialists with reliable transportation.
Flexible and be able to work various shifts as assigned.

A Full-time position supporting Veterans during times of transition in their lives by strengthening their network of support in the community. Primary duties will be targeted outreach and intensive peer support to the homeless veteran community, targeting veterans who may suffer with mental health and co-occurring mental health/substance use disorder.

The Human Services Practitioner position serves as an Employment Peer Mentor, working with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment Team. IPS-Supported Employment is an evidence-based service model aimed at assisting individuals with SPMI/SMI to successfully gain and maintain competitive employment in market jobs. The Employment Peer Mentor role works directly with individuals receiving IPS services, using both formal and informal methods of peer support including Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) and Vocational Illness Management and Recovery (IMR/WMR).
